SEAGULLS FANTASY LEAGUE 2017/18
This is the 21st year of the SFL.
It shall continue as last year with two divisions of
roughly equal size with an unchanged entry fee of Fifteen Pounds,
100% of which will contribute to the prize money fund.
Winners of each division 20% of the fund.
Runners up of each division 10% of the fund.
Third places of each division 5% of the fund.
Fourth place of teh Premier Division 5% of the fund
Cup winner 15% of the fund.
Cup runner up 10% of the fund.

One “Junior” (aged 5 or more but under 16 on the starting
date of the league) plays free for each paying adult in the same family.
Match predictions in respect of Brighton's Championship
matches must be sent to Peter Jackson prior to noon UK time on the
day of the match regardless of the time of kick off. PREDICTIONS COMMUNICATED
AFTER 12 NOON WILL NOT NORMALLY BE ENTERTAINED - EVEN IF SENT BY A
Predictions to include the full time score, the official
attendance figure.and the nomination of ONE Brighton scorer.
Predictions can be sent by any of the following means:

E-mail or via web site are the preferred methods.
If by e-mail, players are requested to quote their division
and the opponents in the SUBJECT of the e-mail e.g. "SFL Championship
Prediction Southampton away". Players are also requested to quote
BRIGHTON'S score first for both home and away matches in the body
of the message: score, attendance, scorer in that order.
POINTS SCORING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
For predicting the correct result (win, draw or lose) 3 points.
For predicting Albion's score correctly 1 point.
For predicting the opponents score correctly 1 point.
BONUS POINTS -
Bonus points are available as follows for the correct final score:
1 point for correctly predicting a 0 - 0 draw.
1 point for correctly predicting a 2 - 2 draw.
3 points for correctly predicting a final score where either team
has scored 3 goals.
4 points for correctly predicting a 3 - 3 draw.
5 points for correctly predicting a final score where either team
has scored more than 3 goals.
For each goal scored by your nominated scorer:
2 points per goal if it is the scorer having scored the most goals
(prior to the match),
3 points per goal if it is the scorer having scored the second most
number of goals,
4 points per goal if it is scorer having scored the third most number
of goals and so on.
The number of goals scored will include the English Football League
and English F.A. Cup matches for any club (during the 2017/18 season)
other than non-league clubs with the exception of goals scored for
non-league clubs in the English F A Cup from Round One onwards.
Own goals do not count.
1 point will be scored for predicting the official attendance figure
2 points will be scored for predicting the official attendance figure
3 points will be scored for predicting the official attendance figure
4 points will be scored for predicting the official attendance figure
5 points will be scored for predicting the exact official attendance
League tables will be produced usually after each match. They will
be distributed by the SFL mailing list and posted on this site. When
players have the same number of total points, the "tie break"
is firstly on the points scored for Albion's results, then on points
scored for Albion's score and finally on points scored for attendance
Standing orders will be accepted by e-mail to email@example.com
These will be used if a prediction is not received or received after
the deadline. A separate standing order should be sent in for home
matches and away matches. Standing orders can be changed as often
a player wishes.
LAST YEAR'S ARE NOT CARRIED OVER - SUBMIT NEW ONES.
Predictions (including standing orders) can not include
any subjectivities, "ifs" or "buts". However changes
to predictions are allowed up to 12 noon UK time on the day of the
match. Standing orders are recommended for use if a player suspects
they may forget to send, or be unable or incapable of sending in,
a prediction at any time.
THE GOLDSTONE CHALLENGE TROPHY (FA CUP)
The Rules of the Goldstone Challenge Trophy are listed in that section
of the website.
PROMOTION & RELEGATION
The bottom six finishers in the SFL Premier League will
be relegated to the Championship for season 2018/19. The top four
(at least) finishers in the SFL Championship will be promoted tothe
SFL Premier League for season 2018/19. The exact number will depend
on the total number of players for the following season. The two Divisions
will be more or less of equal size with new players entering the SFL
RULES can be changed at any time by the Committee.
The Committee's decisions are final and not open to dispute !
